Growing and Evolving RippleNet
The RippleNet Membership is a network of leading financial institutions that collectively and democratically govern and evolve RippleNet. These institutions work to standardize global cross border transactions.
The Membership enables RippleNet participants to adhere to the RippleNet Rulebook, a common framework that ensures operational consistency and legal clarity for every transaction.
One Simple Integration
Members can transact with anyone on Ripple’s growing global real-time payment network through a single agreement.
Standard Rules
Functional standards, payment rules and industry-led governance ensure a consistent payment experience.
Operational Certainty
The Rulebook offers clarity and operational certainty for the roles and responsibilities of network participants.
RippleNet Governance
Regional Councils are groups of RippleNet Members that are regionally organized on the basis of geography or common interest. They ensure that the continuing development and standardization of RippleNet is suitable to the region, guide development of RippleNet, its functionality and services, and identify best practices and opportunities for the network.
The RippleNet Committee is a global governing committee made up of leading financial institutions. The RippleNet Committee is responsible for driving the standardization of RippleNet and providing guidance in removing friction from global cross-border payments.
RippleNet Committee members seek to promote open, inclusive and sound payment practices, as well as ensure adherence to appropriate standards of governance and regulatory compliance.

Ripple’s network uses a common framework, created in consultation with the RippleNet Committee, for processing global payments.
