    Chris Larsen

    Chris Larsen is Executive Chairman of Ripple’s board of directors and former CEO and co-founder of Ripple. Prior to Ripple, Chris cofounded and served as CEO of Prosper, a peer-to-peer lending marketplace, and E-LOAN, a publicly traded online lender. During his tenure at E-LOAN, he pioneered the open access to credit scores movement by making E-LOAN the first company to show consumers their FICO scores.

    Susan Athey

    Susan Athey is Professor of Economics at Stanford Graduate School of Business. She received her bachelor’s degree from Duke University and her Ph.D. from Stanford, and she holds an honorary doctorate from Duke University. She previously taught at the economics departments at MIT, Stanford and Harvard. In 2007, Professor Athey received the John Bates Clark Medal, awarded by the American Economic Association to “that American economist under the age of forty who is adjudged to have made the most significant contribution to economic thought and knowledge.” She was elected to the National Academy of Science in 2012 and to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2008. Professor Athey’s current research focuses on the economics of the internet, internet search, online advertising and the news media, and virtual currencies. She advises governments and businesses on the design of auction-based marketplaces, notably since 2007 serving as a long-term consultant to Microsoft Corporation in a variety of roles, including chief economist.

    Brad Garlinghouse

    Brad is the CEO of Ripple and a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to Ripple, Brad served as the CEO of file collaboration service Hightail. Previously, he was President of Consumer Applications at AOL from 2009 to 2012 and held various positions at Yahoo! from 2003 to 2009, including Senior Vice President. Brad formerly served as CEO of Dialpad Communications, held management positions at SBC Communications and @Home Network and was an advisor to Silverlake Partners. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Animoto and OutMatch and has held board positions at Ancestry.com and Tonic Health.

  • Ripple Leader - Anja Manuel

    Anja Manuel

    Former diplomat, author, and advisor on emerging markets, Anja Manuel is Co-Founder and Principal along with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley and former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, in Rice, Hadley, Gates & Manuel LLC, a strategic consulting firm that helps US companies navigate international markets.

    She is the author of the critically acclaimed This Brave New World: India, China and the United States, published by Simon and Schuster in 2016. From 2005-2007, she served as an official at the U.S. Department of State, responsible for South Asia Policy. Earlier in her career, Ms. Manuel was an attorney at WilmerHale working on corporate governance, international and Supreme Court cases, and represented special committees of major corporate boards before the US Congress, Department of Justice and the SEC. She was also an investment banker at Salomon Brothers in London.

    A graduate of Harvard Law School and Stanford University, Manuel now also lectures at Stanford University. Ms. Manuel serves on a number of corporate and non-profit boards and is a frequent commentator on foreign policy for tv, radio and print press. She is the Director of the Aspen Strategy Group and Aspen Security Forum -- the premier bi-partisan forum on foreign policy in the U.S. -- and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

  • Ripple Leader - Masashi Okuyama

    Masashi Okuyama

    Masashi Okuyama is an Executive Officer at SBI Holdings, and is the CEO of SBI Ripple Asia. He also serves as general counsel to other SBI group companies. Since joining SBI, he has supervised many global investments, joint ventures, and M&A transactions across a variety of verticals. Currently, he oversees legal affairs related to international transactions and digital assets.

    Masashi has deep experience in the compliance and legal fields. After starting his career at Kobe Steel Group where he worked in the compliance division, he became a licensed attorney at Taft Stettinius and Hollister LLP, a US law firm, before joining SBI.

    Craig Phillips

    Craig Phillips brings more than 35 years of private and public sector leadership experience to Ripple, having held senior roles at BlackRock, Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. Most recently, Craig served as Counselor to Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin where he oversaw Domestic Finance. In that capacity, he led policy development for regulatory reform of the financial system under Executive Order 13772, representing a dynamic calibration of the regulation through an agile and properly tailored approach. He also supported the policy development for housing finance reform and supported efforts to enhance the financial sector's cybersecurity. Craig holds a degree in economics from Vanderbilt University.

    Sandie O’Connor

    Sandie O’Connor is a recognized financial industry expert and thought leader with a career spanning more than 30 years. She has deep capital markets, balance sheet and risk management expertise as well as experience building global businesses.

    O’Connor retired as the Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer for JPMorgan Chase where she set the firm’s comprehensive regulatory strategy and led engagement with G-20 policymakers. Prior to this role, O’Connor held several senior leadership positions at the firm including Global Treasurer and head of Prime Services and was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. O’Connor has also served on several public and private teams to support the integrity and efficiency of capital markets including as Chair of the Federal Reserve Board’s Alternative Reference Rates Committee and is a former member of the Treasury Markets Practices Group sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of NY.

    Throughout her career, she has been a champion and sponsor of diversity and inclusion initiatives. American Banker named her one of the most Powerful Women in Banking and Finance multiple times. Currently, O’Connor serves on a Task Force on Financial Stability, and on the FDIC Systemic Resolution Advisory Committee. She is a Director of Bank of NY Mellon Corporation (NYSE: BK), and Terex Corporation (NYSE:TEX). She is the current Chair of the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Greater NY and an Advisory Board member for PlanetFirst Partners.

  • Ripple Leader - Rosie Rios

    Rosie Rios

    Rosie Rios has over 30 years of unparalleled experience and expertise in public policy and investment management. She served as the 43rd Treasurer of the United States and was the CEO of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and the U.S. Mint, including Fort Knox. She also initiated and led the efforts to place a portrait of a woman on U.S. currency for the first time in over a century. Upon her resignation in 2016, she received the Hamilton Award, the highest honor bestowed in the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Rios was the longest serving Senate-confirmed Treasury official beginning with her time on the Treasury/Federal Reserve Transition Team in November 2008 at the height of the financial crisis.

    Following her tenure, she was appointed as a Visiting Scholar at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University with a focus on Millennials and Post-Millennials. In August 2020 she was honored as one of USA Today’s Women of the Century.

    Rios is currently the CEO of Red River Associates, a real estate investment management consulting firm, and serves on the board of American Family Insurance and Fidelity Charitable Trust. In 2018, she was appointed as an Executive Committee member of America 250, the Congressional Commission responsible for planning the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding in 2026.

    Michael Warren

    Michael Warren is Managing Director of Albright Stonebridge Group, part of Dentons Global Advisors. He has over 20 years of experience advising clients on international growth strategies, stakeholder management issues, and economic and geopolitical issues affecting global markets. Prior to that, Warren served in the administrations of two U.S. presidents. Warren was Senior Advisor of the White House Presidential Personnel Office during President Barack Obama’s first term. In 2010, President Obama appointed Warren to the Board of Directors of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, where he chaired the Audit Committee until his term ended in 2019. During the Clinton administration, he was Executive Director of the National Economic Council and served in the Office of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor.
